Gatefall

Keep three survivors alive.

Gatefall is a free survival strategy game that runs in your browser. Send your people out for food, water and wood. Build farms and wells so the camp can feed itself. Then hold it together through hunger, sickness and winter — because when a survivor dies, they stay dead.

One click and you're in. It saves itself as you play.

How it plays

How it plays

Three things, over and over

You'll understand the whole game in a minute. Getting good at it takes a lot longer.

  1. 01

    Gather

Send a survivor out for food, water or wood. Each trip costs an hour of the day and burns the energy they need for the next one.

  2. 02

    Build

Farms, wells, lumber mills, watchtowers, research. Build the right ones and the camp starts producing without being asked.

  3. 03

    Survive

Hunger, thirst, exhaustion, sickness, raids, and four seasons that keep getting worse. Winter is where most camps end.

Why it sticks

People don't quit Gatefall. They start over.

Nobody comes back

No revive, no undo, no second chance. Lose someone on day nine and you finish that run short-handed — or you don't finish it at all.

The camp learns to run itself

Drones gather, wells refill, crops ripen, and people eat without being told. Climbing from three exhausted survivors to a camp that hums is the entire game.

Every camp you lose pays into the next one

A camp that falls broadcasts memory fragments. Spend them on permanent upgrades, then start again with an edge you earned.

You're not out there alone

See how many people are playing right now, how many camps died today, and the shared objective everyone is chipping away at together.

Before you start

The questions everyone asks

Is it actually free?

Yes. Nothing to buy, nothing locked behind money. The camp will occasionally offer you a sponsored transmission that pauses the clock and hands you a small supply cache — taking it is always your choice, and turning it down costs you nothing.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no sign-up, no email, no password. Click play and you're in the camp.

Will I lose my camp if I close the tab?

No. It saves itself while you play, so you can walk away mid-run and pick it up tomorrow on the same browser. The one thing that wipes it is clearing your browsing data.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. The whole game runs in a mobile browser — same camp, same save, laid out for a small screen.

How long does a run take?

You'll know whether you like it inside five minutes. A camp that survives its first winter can run for days.

What happens when everyone dies?

That run is over — there's no loading an earlier day. You keep the memory fragments it earned, spend them on permanent upgrades, and start a new camp that's a little harder to kill.

Three survivors are waiting on you.

Irreversible action

Abandon this camp?

Resetting permanently erases this campaign, including your survivors, supplies, upgrades, research, and achievements.

Campaign data Permanently erased

Only Gatefall progress stored on this device will be affected.

Ends this run

Broadcast this camp's memories?

The transmission closes the camp for good. What it carries survives: fragments imprint on the next camp as permanent upgrades.

Fragments recovered 0

Your survivors stop here. Everything they learned does not.
